CANSail Levels 3-4 - Learn to Race - Opti

Ages 9+

CANSail Levels 3-4

Optimist is the perfect platform to introduce sailors to competitive sailing.

This program provides opportunity to continue to advance under CANSail in a racing environment.

Sailors are expected to demonstrate their confidence as most training sessions are undertaken on Lake Huron.

Race Optimists are supplied if the student does not have their own boat.

Sailors must accept responsibility for all equipment while in their care. Care of and respect for equipment is a fundamental part of seamanship.

Sailors are encouraged to become members of the Canadian Optimist Dinghy Association to assist with class development.
